Los Cantos, 2007-07-28 Number 3

The Italian night – 26 July –

During the exchange there is a night dedicated to a single country group. Two days ago we´ve had the Italian one, by the artificial lake. We left the camp at the time of dinner, and by feet we traveled to the “Pantano”. We waited for the darkness in which the game took place: it was a simple yet funny one; a “man hunt”: an Italian boy was to be found and recognized. The other Italians were the advisers: they were divided into real tip-givers and false ones. Hidden in the dark, if caught they were telling a game to the participants and after it they gave the information to them (only if they were real tip-givers, instead the prize was only a big smile...). The groups were mixed, and looked for Italians in complete darkness, with just a lamp.
The game lasted about an hour. After that we spent the night by the lake. Some say that the noise was to high and some people couldn’t sleep quietly... but it has been just like a party, and teen-parties are just like this. Fun.

Yesterday morning we went to Portugal to visit a IX the century castle collect a rain water, which protected the city during the time of war. Marvao is a beautiful village full of small gardens and flowers but now it counts only 185 habitants and it lost completely it’s importance. The day was very hot and some of the participants found protection from the sun wherever it was possible. The trip was very tiring not only because of the sun but also because of a long walk. Fortunately for lunch we left Marvao and went to a natural swimming pool also in Portugal. Part of the group rest in the shadow, others ate watermelons. Some of the people paying only 2 Euro went to luxurious and clean swimming pool nearby. At 18.30 we left Portugal to return to Alburquerque to spend a night in that marvelous “pueblo”. Each group entertained themselves in the bares, cafes and restaurants near the Plaza de España. People were walking around participating in Spanish parties outside. The name of the festival was Contempopranea and it was near to the castle. If you made a sightseeing around the Alburquerque or if you drunk with the local people it did not difference because the night in the village was enjoyable. And the end we met in the main square and went back to our accommodation which was a gym.

Los Cantos, 2007-07-25 Number 1

Medieval ghosts in Los Chorros

Yesterday´s evening there was a Spanish and Italian night. All of the people dressed a medieval ropes. There were a dinner composed of tipical Spanish food and in medieval conditions. The nobles and vagabunds could dance for a medieval music as well. The brave participants learn some dances from the spanish professors. Then the nice, quiet and cultural night was interrupted by loud and crazy italian programme. People fulfilled with an adrenaline started a disco. It was a long night...

Play in the city

After a long and tiering night the participants of the international exchange visited Albuquerque. Under the sky full of buitres, scared people tried to find the answers for the questions about the city. After an hour of exhausting walk they found some rest in a nice cafe and they could enjoy the best, after bullfights J, Spanish customs: Las Tapas.

¿What they did there?

The most attractive celebrities of the four European countries from the exchange appeared in a swimming pool near to Albuquerque. For one hour they gave the local people the opportunity to enjoy their company and than quickly disapeared...

Health an nature:

· Do not mix different kind of alcohols, if you drink more than ten cups.

· Do not cream the backs of beautiful girls, if they have a strong boyfriend.

· If you would like to see a vulture (buitre) closer, you have to lay down to the ground and try to be stinky at least for six hours. Take a little water with yourself in your pocket.

Interview with the Professor of Canine Language graduated at Oxford, Togo.

For the first number of our newspaper, “Diary from (Beautiful) Nowhere…”, we’ve decided to interview our mascotte, the dog Togo. This interview took place under the roof near the toilets… a very romantic place for a romantic character…
He was waiting someone…
And we asked him who…

From our faithful interviewers Andrea & Nico.

-Hi, Togo! How are you?

(Yeah, fine! It’s a wonderful day, even if… I feel tired…)

-Tired?! But every day we see you so energetic! What’s the secret of your daily happiness?

(Really, I don’t know why… but I think that there’s something inside my food… a strange “acid” taste… drugs? Red bull? I don’t have any suggestion…)

-During the day you play with everybody every time. Especially with someone in particular… How about your sweetheart Francesco?

(Oh, I love him when he plays the ball with me…)

-What have you thought about the exchangers the first time you saw them?

(I was very happy, but… When I saw Francesco…)

-We can see you a little bit sad… Can we ask you why?

(The reason is simple: can you see my beloved mate with me now?)

-And why did you choose Francesco as your best playmate?

(Because he has a so very “animal” physique!)

-Talking about the others… What can you say ‘bout them?

(Good, all of them, especially my owners Alfonso & Laura.)

-Could we ask you what are you doing all the day long when you are not with your “beloved” Francesco?

(Look, I’ve no reason to live when I’m not with him… so, as all the Spanish, I sleep waiting for the moment when he comes back to me… I wait.)

-Have you ever had a… “relationship” with another human being before this week?

(No! Grrr…)

-Some rumours say that sometime you betray Francesco with your… TAIL… isn’t it?

( I’ve no comment, NO COMMENT, do you two freaks understand it?)
P.S. he was blushing…

We’re sorry that this interesting interview finish here, but when our special guest ended to look at us, a “slim” and “athletic” shadow figured out at the horizon.
